Rules for Requesting

  1. READ THE RULES- These rules were updates on September 22, 2009! The rules are subject to change at anytime.  We have the right to delete your request if it in any ways breaks any of these rules, therefore please read the following carefully before requesting, and come back to check up on the ones that are likely to change (ie. password, limits, and artist preferences) since those are three of the rules most likely to get your request deleted if broken.

  2. CLOSING REQUESTS- We may choose to close the requests at some times if things get busy and we don't have time to do a lot of requests.  DO NOT try to get around this and request anyway or bother us about why requests are closed.  It will be specifically stated why here.

  3. ARTIST PREFERENCES- Senshi that look very similar to original senshi with only a few color changes, or a hairstyle change are considered recolors, and certain artists refuse to do them, while other artists love to do them. In fact, all the artists love and loathe to do certain things. Asking some artists for a recolor, or others for a senshi without a sailor collar are likely to get your request deleted. So before requesting, be certain that your selected artist does your selected picture type. You can check that at the Artist Guide and learn more about incividual artists in their Galleries which include profiles.

  4. FLOATERS- Most artists at the Tower are currently acting as "floaters"- or, artists who take requests from the grab bag, but do not appear on the request forms. If you desire a picture from any of these people in particular, your best bet is to include a note on the "other comments" section of the request form stating as much.

  5. NO 100% GUARANTEE OF ARTIST- You may not necessarily get a picture done by your Guardian of choice, especially if they don't have time or get behind on their requests.  Please don't be too picky.  We do as much as we can to fill to your requests.

  6. COMPLETE THE FORM- You must fill out all of the fields on the form with as much detail as possible. If something does not apply to your character's outfit, please put "N/A" or "none." Reference images are GREAT but they do not take the place of description.
As far as colors go, don't just say "blue." Be a little more specific! "Pale sky blue," or "midnight blue," or even just "true blue" will help us get your request right.  If you do not provide enough detail, like one or two words for each field, the request could be deleted.  Also, for skin color, only specify 'white' if you really mean pure, snow white (albino).  If you don't mean that, say something like 'Caucasian' or 'peach'.  Specifying 'white' will get you white.

  7. REFERENCES- You may refer to other Sailor Moon characters to describe color, hairstyle, and other physical characteristics.  If you want to refer to a character from a fandom outside of Sailor Moon, please provide a reference picture. If you want a certain pose, try to do more than just describe it to us-  find a picture we can copy the pose from (if drawn or CGed) or a coloring book picture of that pose for us to edit.

  8. ACESSORIES- For accessories, please describe these as well as you can. We hate guesswork. If you don't do a good enough job at describing it, then we will leave it out or make it up. If you have a vague description of anything, we will take artistic license with it.  For edits, some artists often can not put in complicated weapons or items as it is sometimes difficult to find poses that work with such items.

  9. BASES- When it asks for 'base' at the bottom of the forum, please choose the character that looks most like your senshi. Please use this if you would like an edited or traced picture, and it is also appreciated for some other hand drawn requests to help us do a better job.  DO NOT ask for a starlight base if you want regular fuku or vice versa unless you want a traced picture.  Also, your senshi's age should be near the age (or appear near that) of the base you want.  Please no 18-year-olds off of Chibichibi.  Also "1,237,862 but she really looks 17" or something of the sort is really obnoxious.  Just how old does she look?

  10. TIMELINE - We are busy people, so you will get your request when you get your request. This is free, that's how it goes.   DO NOT re-submit your request until we have told you that we really did not get it. (see Rule 16)

  11. LIMITS- This is subject to change so check frequently: You make make one request every two months, but the requests must be from a different artists each time. For example: if you request from Purenightshade on Sept 20, you can request again on November 20th but it has to be from another artist. Putting No Prefrence for an artist counts as one artist. Until an artist claims your request, you cannot put another No Prefrence request in. Once an artist has claimed your request, you must still wait the two month period from the date of the first request before requesting again either from a specific artist or with No Prefrence. If you have a pending request from before this rule change, you can request again so long as at least two months have passed since your most recent request. You can follow the status of transferred requests here. If you have questions, you can ask them here or email ttrequestcenter [at] yahoo.com

  12. EMAIL- You MUST have a valid email on the requests forum.  We will delete it if it is otherwise.  (ie- yourname@yourhost.com)  Also, if you have a website, we ask that you give us the URL.  If we can find existing pictures of your senshi, it is much easier. If your Email Address CHANGES before your request is filled, you MUST notify us on the board or at ttrequestcenter (at) yahoo [dot] com. Otherwise, you will not get your request.

  13. SIGNATURES- You MAY NOT remove the signatures of the artists.  If you use the picture in a layout or something of the sort where you have to, please credit the artist someplace else visible.  Editing the picture in any way is also not allowed.  If you would like to use the picture in a layout, banner, or wallpaper, feel free, but you MUST give credit to the artists in a visible place near by.  If you want to edit the picture in any other way, you must ask the guardian who did your picture permission first.  Otherwise you will be banned and blacklisted.  Remember, only you have permission to use the picture we make for you.  If you catch someone else using your picture, let us know and we will take care of it for you.  *nods*

  14. CREDITS- We ask that you credit us somehow if you have a web page.  For reference on your request submission, the password is currently 'magical pixeling lizard ninjas.' Please remember to fill out this important information, otherwise your request will be deleted. Please continue to read the rules. An email link crediting the particular artist and a link back to the Tower, so other people can get pictures from us as well, are required.

  15. COPPA- Since we are not allowed to ask for personal information like email address of children under 13, if you are under 13, please ask you parents before you request.

  16. LANGUAGE- We only take requests in English. Please do not request in any other languages.

  17. YOUR REQUEST'S STATUS- For a list of what requests are being worked on, have been deleted, and such, check out the Requests Forum.  You will not need to register at the boards to view this section. If a month or so has passed and you cannot find your request on the Request Forum, you may inquire about the request in the Questions & Suggestions section (you will have to register to post). Or, you can email us at the requests center.

  18. FLAMES AND THANKS- Finally, if you send us a nasty or demanding email about your request, we may decide not to do it. But if you send us really nice thank you’s (we get so few) and such, we would love to make more pictures for you and be nicer about any questions/polite complaints you have. If you have something to complain about use some diplomacy people.
