This team and story line was thought up 2001. Some nine years later, the story sees its completion. In their original form, they had different names and a different story, but the longer I hung out with this crew, the more the grew. Their story and personalities really matured as I wrote them. Now, I hate to leave them, even though their story is finished.
Never fear, however. As long as I keep writing, this won't be the last you see of these seven Americans. The Tower-verse is wide, but they have an important part in it.
Damia's romance with Helios wasn't one of those things I set out to do when the story started, but it just happened. I didn't want to step on the toes of canon. (When it comes down to it, though, I like Chibiusa with Peruru better anyway.) Do they get back together again? I'm not really sure. For now, I'll leave that to the characters and I'll check back in on them in a few years.
About half of this was written over NaNoWriMo 2009 and most of the rest of it when through rigorous revisions in the few months before hand. I owe Pandora, my awesome beta through all that time, a big thanks for getting this in the condition it is.
